Our 2009-2010 School Year

It's a big thumbs up for Loin Millard Marsh to welcome Jessica Dabich
as this month's "Student of the Month" Jessica carries a 4.24 G P A and had
taken college level classes in her senior year at North Valley High school. Jessica's interest
are volunteering, hiking and rock climbing. She plans to attend Rogue Community College and
study Emergency Medical Services and to become a Paramedic and Helicopter Pilot.

A big HI 5 indeed for Lauren Clisby, our October Student of the
Month. Lauren attends Hidden Valley High School with a 4.21 GPA. Lauren is very active
in student government F B L A (Future business Leaders of America), The Honor Society, the Math Team
and Academic Masters .Extras in Lauren's time include Tennis, Skiing, Puzzles and playing the
Guitar. She plans to attend Air Force Academy and study Biology or Mathematics.
This week's Student of the Month is Alyssa Thomberg from Grants
Pass High School. Alyssa carries a 4.0 G P A and is involved in numerous school
activities. She plays violin in the Chamber Orchestra with time yet to spare Alyssa is
on the tennis Covers Team, Interact Club, National Honor Society, vice president of Link Crew and
Food Bank volunteer. Along with all this she still has time to travel and enjoys
photography. Plans to attend the University of Portland and major in Environmental
Science or elementary education.

GPHS senior Tevin Preston (left) is the President of 2008-2009, ASB His community activities include (flag football, Christmas basket program, Sparrow Club, Festival of Trees,), Extra curricular activities include Football, Track and Field. He is a Link leader, NHS with a. GPA = 4.0 #1 in class He plans to attend University of Oregon and obtain a degree in Business Sports Marketing.
RCC Brent Helm -(center) is a resident of Grants Pass, He was home schooled and awarded a diploma in 2001 Brent has attended RCC for two terms and will transfer to Southern Oregon University to obtain degree in
Business. Brent worked at various jobs in Grants Pass from 2002 to 2007, On April 15, 2008 He was struck by a car while riding a mountain bike and suffered a brain Injury. His life was changed because of this accident, and now would like to become a financial advisor.

Hines Lauren carries a 4.18 G.P.A as senior at Hidden Valley High
school. Setting her sigh to be a future business leader of
America. She is very active in student government, a member of
the Honor Society and enjoys soccer and bowling. Plans to attend
Oregon State University and major in business. |

student of the month. Tevin attends Grants Pass High School and carries a
4.0 G P A. His school activities include football, leadership / A S B
president, Link Crew, and the national honor
society. Tevin plans to attend University of
Oregon and study
business administration. |
| This month's student is Timari Yow,
daughter of Rhonda and Dennis Misner.
Tiimari attends North
Valley High School in Merlin and sports a 4.1 G.P.A.
Timari is very active in Student Government, The National Honor Society and
the Fee Design Choir. She enjoys singing and performing in dinner theater
productions. Her plans for the future are to attend John Hopkins's
University, where she already has scholarships and wants to study
medicine. |

Mary Bailey on the right is from Hidden Valley High School. Her parents are William and Maureen
Bailey. Mary’s GPA is 4.13. Besides taking many Advanced Placement Classes, Mary excels in Basketball and Track and Field. She is a member of the National Honor Society, Student Government, Concert Choir and weight lifting.. Her hobbies are sports, exercise, youth group and spending time with her fmily. She also volunteers.Mary is still deciding whether she wants to go to Willamette or Linfiel College. She plans to study education and athletics.
Ellie is also a student at Hidden Valley High School. Her parents are Rhondaand Dennisner. Ellie’s GPA id 4.1 . Her school activities revolve around sports. She is Varsity Soccer Capitain for the last two years, she play varsity tennis . She is competing at the state lievel. Ellie is involved in Student Government and the Math team. Her gobbies include photography.
Ellie plans to attend George Fox University atudy English and history with the goal of becoming a teacher Mary and Ellie are on course to be Valedictorians for this year’s graduation class. We Lions give you a big ROAR and we know you will do well in achieving your
goals.
A very special student this month. Welcome Kaleigh Hull, a
senior at
Grants Pass High School. Kaleigh is an accomplished flutist with the school band. She carries
a 4.0 grade average and plans to attend the
University of Oregon and study Music Performance Other activities include H.O.S.A (Health
Occupation Student Association) Future plans could include studding medicine at the University of Michigan. r.
A good
reason to smile in welcoming Heather Cereda our October Student of the Month. Heather in a Honor Society senior at Grants Pass High School.
She carries a 3.8 GPA and plans to study at Western Oregon University
and enter into primary school education. Heather has traveled to
Mexico and the Dominican Republic serving the Lord's
calling in helping folks with eye glasses and working in their eye clinic.

and plans to attend the University of Oregon. Alyssa is also co sharing as Valor Victorian .
