The Lions Club makes it a point to 
recognize the future leaders of our 
State and Country by honoring the 
Student of the Month 

April has two Students Of the Month for top recognition   Pictured on the left is Lyndsey Romich of Grants Pass High School, holding a 4.0 average with additional interest in Mock Trial, Brain Bowel, Math Team and National Honor Society.  On the right is Jasmine Schoen from Hidden Valley High School.  Jasmine holds a better than 4.0 average an is planning to attend Southern Oregon University to study Criminology and Art History.   Her school activities include Student Government Math Club and Honor Society.

February 19,2008 Lion Jim Woods welcomes Stephen Levy and hi math teacher, Heidi Marks  to the Grants Pass Lions Club as this month's "Student of the Month". Stephen holds a 4.2 average as senior at Hidden Valley High School   Stephen plans to attend Oregon southern University for his bachelor's degree, and then on to Pacific University Forest Grove Oregon.  Stephen will study English and hopes to become an English teacher. 

January 15, 2008 The Grants Pass Lions Club honors David Hope as Student of the Month.  David is a senior at Grants Pass High School.  His interests are track and cross country racing.  David is active in the N R O T C program and plans to be an officer in the Navy after completing his studies at O S U From left, Lion Jim Woods school councilor Bill Sarver David Pope and mother Jolene White  


This month's student of the month is Claire Willing.  Claire holds a 4.146 grade point average at North valley High School and is sure to be  Class Valedictorian.  She plans to go to either Brown University or Princeton. Claire always wanted to go East ever since she was a little girl. She plans to study government and international studies. Other interests are soccer, bowling and track   



November 20, 2007 Lion Jim Woods and the Grants Pass Lions Club honors Taylor Willi, our "Student of the month"  Taylor carries a 4.4 grade average from Hidden Valley High School.  Taylor is a top scoring soccer star and very athletic.  He plans to major in science attending Withworth University in Spokane Washington.  

 
Our student of the month for October, 2007 is Hanna Mareno
Hanna holds a 4.0 average at Grants Pass High School  Hanna 
a member of the National Honor Society, a member of the 
marching band, plays clarinet and also active with the 
Color Guard..  Hanna plans to attend either Western 
Oregon University or the Oregon Institute of Technology  
She wants to study dentistry.  Presenting Hanna her 
award is Lion Jim Woods and her Councilor Bill Sarver.      

Our student of the month for September 2007 is Kyle
Fauley  from North Valley High School.  On his left is
teacher James Platt and and dad on his right.  Kyle
is a hot shot bowler and enjoys track and field sports.
Kyle plans to attend ether O S U or Oregon State
 University.  His interests are in architecture and 
is all ready and advanced draftsman.  

We have two prize students this month
 
Annabel Dollarhide from Hidden Valley High School Has a grade point average of 3.8  Plans to attend RCC for 2 years before attending a four year college.  Annabel wants to study Early childhood Education

 
Christina Appleby represents Grants Pass High School with a grade aver of 3.98  Plans to study environmental science in Ohio.  Christian is an accomplished cellist, likes art and photography.  She is also a member of the National Honor Society.  

This months student of the month in Danielle Hart.  Danielle is a student at Hidden Valley High School.  Miss Hart is a high rolling bowler, enjoys golf and plans to attend S O U and study for a career in education.

 

December Student of the Month.  Kelly Thomas, and her counselor James from North Valley High School.  
January Student of the Month.  Kristin Thornburg, from Grants Pass High School.  Her counselor  Eli Brand,  Both these students are high achievers.
